Love the content but the app needs work. A lot of work! The search is slow and clunky and inaccurate. When you play a video the visual portion freezes and the audio keeps playing. Shortly there after the entire app becomes unresponsive. When you close the app and reopens the audio resumes from the last video but the video itself from a different lesson. Or you’re stuck at the Good Inside yellow splash screen and nothing happens for seconds. I really like the content but you’ve made it very difficult to make use of it. This rating applies to the latest version of the app running on the newest iPhone with the newest operating system. I’ve tested on different WiFi and cellular networks with similar results.

Looks like a great app

No book, therapist, internet search or friend has been as encouraging and transformative as Good Inside! My Deeply Feeling Kids have a mom who is a study leader and has the tools to get through each day, even the challenging ones! AI interactions, training videos, chats, and cheat sheets make this app worth every penny.

Worth every penny!

$279 for the year or $84 for 3 months. $28/month isn’t wild but not everyone living paycheck to paycheck has $84 up front. Bummed. Wish there was a free trial to help some accessibility feel equitable. Sorry for 3 stars, I am sure it’s an amazing app, I am just bummed it’s so expensive.

Very expensive

Decent information but this app is terrible at presenting it. The videos restart at the slightest movement with your phone. The videos don’t save your place and it’s about the most annoying thing I’ve had to deal with this week. And that includes my kid and pregnant wife.

Dr Becky is excellent and content exceptional. This review is for issues with app. 

1. When opening a video and putting it full screen, I then have to close app and reopen because there is no minimise, or a button to go back to menu. 

2. The captions don’t work.

I use this app almost every day. The workshops, especially live workshops, are as effective as therapy. The Ask feature in the app is genius and helps instantly in any situation. This app is key to raising healthy children and I’m seeing the benefits of using it every day.

The content is incredible and very effective. The app is frustrating beyond reason to use constant buffering, skip forward or backwards in the workshop videos. It keeps starting my workshop video over. Absolutely maddening.

Was looking forward to checking this out... but there is zero way to get in the app without paying an insanely high subscription fee. No free features or at least checking out the app... no free trial or anything. This is not how you gain user base. Bad design

Great app for parents

I highly recommend this app to anyone struggling with parenting at all.  Even just a little bit. There is a wealth of information right at your fingertips. Whatever issue you’re facing with your kids, you can simply search for it and you’ll get workshops, videos, or written material to help you with that issue, not to mention the daily cards/deck you get that are tailored to your kids’ ages and issues.  Also live Q&A and the community section that I’ve hardly even dabbled in yet and even without that, it is well worth the money. So thankful for Dr. Becky. Before this app, I was messaging her and other popular parenting gurus with questions on instagram and would have to wait days for a response if any at all because they’re so popular they can’t possible read all their DMs and get back to everyone. Now I use the AI bot in the good inside app to ask my questions and to my surprise it is SUPER helpful!!!

Saved my parenting

GI is my survival guide. Step by step, there is always a guiding light here for me. If its simply a feeling of community or play by play advice, this app lets me know I’m not in this on my own. Worth every penny!

The app is amazing! I don’t always have time to listen to the webinars Becky has created, so I make it a point to look at the decks daily. It has been such an amazing tool to help me improve my parenting and becoming the parent I want to be. If you are short on time the decks are amazing. They only take a max of 5 minutes to go through.  Becky is wonderful and provided a such great insight to understanding your child is good inside and how to work through the challenges we may have when parenting.

I’ve been a loyal Dr Becky follower and FINALLY joined the app. It is everything I need and want from an app like this.  Support, individualized to my needs, community, etc.  Even when my time is limited, I can click through a few things to center myself, ask a question, or simply take a beat to recenter myself.  This is the approach that ALL parents need and that will revolutionize our next generation.

Go-To Resource for parenting and student/tutor approach

It’s a parenting AI chatbot, with a message board (and I’ve never gotten replies, so I’ve got no community, but ChatGPT for $84). Nothing is groundbreaking here. “Be patient with your kid”.. well, shucks! If only I’d thought of it sooner, I wouldn’t be out $30/month!

This is the only resource that actually identifies the intensity of my child’s outbursts and its peculiarities. More than worth the money.

Good Inside: more than good

I’m at dad of a 18 month old son and 3yo daughter. They’re both going through a character growth spurt, both are becoming more independent, more confident, more creative, and more compulsively rebellious. And as a tired dad who’s over stimulated, overwhelmed, and often over frustrated by my inability to manage my emotions, I find this app to be more than helpful. It’s a savior. Thank God for Dr. Becky, seriously. Since I’ve randomly come across her on youtube, I haven’t stopped following her and her advice. Yes, at times it’s definitely too much for me. With how nice and calm and relaxed she is while I’m stressed the you know what out and bout to slap some sense upside these kid’s head’s. But that’s my childhood trauma surfacing. It’s hard breaking those deep, negative habits, but I’m trying! That’s when my wife reminds me, “who’s the 30 something year old, and who’s the 3yo”. Along with Dr. Becky reminding me of setting boundaries and sticking to them, and how all kids are really “Good inside”. I’ve come to realize that’s the truth. We are, all good inside. We just need to remind ourselves even as parents that we are doing our best. And that’s what Dr. Becky  ultimately reminds me of. She brings a down to earth approach with realistic expectations. Plus I love how she uses her own personal stories to emphasize her own imperfections, proving we’re all human. She makes you feel heard and understood. And as a parent (YOU READING), you know that’s important when you’re investing the little time you (DONT) have. So, invest, invest some time into her and use her tips and wizardry onto yourself and onto your kids. Then wait, one day you’ll be shocked that you’re subconsciously  telling yourself “WOAH, I didn’t just snap!”

Clutch

One of the things I love about this is that I can go back and rewatch things so when I forget how you handled something or I forget a strategy I can always go back and learn it again. This is my first day on the app and I look forward to learning more every day. I feel like I’ve watched my kids struggle for years and didn’t know how to help him and now I feel like I have more tools. Thank you!

If you’re going to require payment to access any part of the app, do not first require a potential customer to sign up without making it very clear that is the case. That paywall was hidden behind you getting my information.

Transparency Concern

I questioned if I should pay for this app and if I’m being honest, I wouldn’t have without the money back option. I have tried to educate myself as a parent to be the best I can for my children and I was worried I’d read a lot of what I already know. If you’re in the same boat, try it! The ask feature is worth every penny in itself! I tend to be patient but as things start to go wrong, I slowly and slowly lose that patience. Now, as I’m feeling myself start to bubble up, I type the scenario in the ask column and it’s teaching me how to better handle the scenarios. This app is saving me from damaging connection in the tense moments. The daily deck is also great! It’s short and sweet and personalized for the area I’m currently struggling with. I give it all the stars!!!

Worth Every Penny!

This review is about the app not the service. I want to love the app but the way it handles video playing hasn’t been optimized. 

No way to minimize into a mini player (picture in picture) playing a video in the background in an app in 2025?? Also when go in and out of app it bugs out when switching back and loses place of video. 

Browser version is better in this regard unfortunately.

It’s day 1

I’ve struggled with mom rage, ppd and anxiety. This program has helped me realize that I am not alone. It has also helped me know that I, and my children are good inside and our behaviors do not define us. It has given me resources on what TO do in parenting. A plan of action in parenting is just what my kids and I needed to form a better bond!

Life Changing Advice!

I love Dr. Becky and everything she says. However, this app is killing me. I hate that the “cards” are so in your face, and I hate that the most recent workshops I have taken are not anywhere to be found, and it also doesn’t save my place! This feels like a huge step down from the website, which did both of these things. I also hate that when I click on a video in one of the emails, it sends me to download the app which I’ve already done, and then when it opens the app, it does not take me to the video in question.

I love the content, but the interface needs some work

We had been trying so many different parenting resources and support before finally getting the membership and this has been one of the most successful resources we have found. So thankful!

The Best Parenting App Ever!!!!!

I’m only three days in and I absolutely love this resource. I finally feel like someone understands what I’m going through and the behaviors I’m seeing in my child. I’ve never felt so relieved to have answers and strategies that I can put into practice right now. I’m able to not only search through all the resources but I have access to the chat option and to receive really good advice. It literally brings me to tears when I open up this app and feel seen!

Finally something works!

If you have ever “Duo Lingo-ed,” you know how valuable daily practice can be. The Good Inside app gives me daily insights PLUS the AI chatbot I used last night when it was time for my 5th grader to get ready for bed, but she hadn’t finished her homework (she REALLY wanted to). I love this app!

Wish my parents had this

I hit a breaking point with my DFK and finally downloaded the app. I listened to one episode and already feel better about how to help my DFK. I also don’t feel alone! Thank you Dr. Becky!

This app is easy to navigate and intuitive to use. Yes, you could find a lot of this stuff from the podcast, or Good Inside social posts, but the way it’s organized and catalogued is truly tailored to their audience. Thanks Good Inside team!

Guys, this is the best addition I have made to my parenting with the least effort. As I already had the membership, now I have the little check-ins and reminders I can set that help me to keep all the good stuff in the forefront of my mind. Good Inside improves my life and relationships every day. Thank you, Dr. Becky! The app is thoughtfully designed, but the screen goes inactive when playing a video full screen on my phone. While playing the Potty Learning series, the screen screen shuts off, although the audio keeps playing.

I hesitated to buy this because of the cost but 20 minutes after using this app, and it's already paid for itself! The content is high quality, and the layout makes so much sense. Dr. Becky has put together something really special here! This is a great parent tool for immediate answers and long-term training and education.

Great content but watching videos in the app is terrible on the pixel phone. You can't watch a video without the screen going to sleep after a few seconds.

Several professionals in pediatric and therapeutic realms have suggested Dr Becky Good Inside. Single Mom with health issues, no village, apart from medical and mental health providers I work full time and have a child with several needs, also working in breaking my own family cycles. A $400 annual fee up front or $120 monthly for 3 months...Ouch! I can't find a free trial to even test out. That's a big ask when I don't know what I'm getting into or if the app will work.

amazing content, but the videos constantly get stuck and there is no flow of content on long form videos because they stop and you have to start over, constantly having to unlock the phone and intervene.

the best parenting app and info I've found, and I've purchased several.

First, I love the content in this app. These lessons have helped us through some seriously tough sleep and separation times with our almost 3 year old. However, the player on the app is so bad it's almost unusable. It does not stop my normal phone screen timeout, and it does not keep playing once the screen does time out. It's almost impossible to get through a course as it is. For how expensive the subscription is, this is a pretty unacceptable standard.

Great advice WHEN you can get it...but app crashes so much, I'm giving up.

Amazing app! I bought the book and didn't purchase the membership right away, but I'm so glad that I finally took a chance. I thought the GI app might take too much time, but it's set up perfectly to address the issues you want, when you want. Efficient and helpful!! I love that it not only helps us with our deeply feeling kid, but their siblings as well. The best part is that Dr. Becky's advice WORKS!

The app isn't working well on my Pixel. When I watch a video, my screen goes dark and locks and the video stops. Then when I unlock the screen it makes me start the entire workshop/video over. It makes it impossible to do more than a few minutes of work at a time without touching my screen to make sure it stays awake. Any tricks?

Oooft! I love the Instagram content and the questions at the app sign-up stage made the support the app provides sound perfect for me, so I was happy to provide my email address and details. But once I'd signed up I realised there's no content at all available without payment. And working out at £22 or £26 per month (needed in large bulk annual or quarterly payments of £265 or £80) just not possible right now. Reluctantly, uninstallling.

Good Inside is so much more than a parenting app! It is like having a positive expert at your fingertips. I have seen the results of Dr. Becky's approach in a short time with my preteen. Not only is Dr. Becky's perspective, examples and workshops life enhancing, the tech team created easy to navigate content. The Ask feature is my go to in the moment and is like having a best friend on speed dial. I have recommended Good Inside to all my close friends and wish all parents had this resource.

The app is not working on the latest Android OS.

I have recently changed mobile phone device and ilthe app doesnt open on the new one. Samsung Z Flip 6

Downloading the app is free, but there is a membership to pay to use the app. At nearly £300 a year for membership, this is way beyond my budget and completely inaccessible to me. It was such a waste of time answering all those sign up quiz questions only to find this too. If there was a free trial, I'd try it, but I can't comment on the content on the app as I didn't manage to go past the bit about paying. I like the content on insta, though. So for these reasons I've given 2 stars.

I've been a Good Inside member for a while, but this has changed my game! The daily reminders make it easier to check out the content for me personally. There are daily flash cards based on age and topics you choose that really resonate. Then, if you're stuck in the depths of potty training like we are, or whatever else you need to look up after bedtime. It's all there!

I wish I could know these points a few months ago.

When I signed up the app wasn't available. The information has been so valuable that I downloaded the app and do find it very easy to get reminders and read smaller Snippets of information that continue to support me . And stay up-to-date with anything that could be new material coming out. I have teenage and adult children and information related to older children is very helpful.

I want you to know how beneficial the membership has been for me. I felt like I was drowning with 4 kids, 2 step kids and a blended fam. I finally feel in control and when I don't feel in control, I have somewhere to turn that is both helpful and uplifting. I wish I had this support from day 1 of parenting. If I had, I think my entire parenting experience would have been different. I will be a member until my kids have grown (and maybe longer lol)

So much better and more easily accessible than the web version. The app makes it easy to focus on your main topic and to access it immediately. Only used it for 1.5 days, but I love it so far! The web version made it hard for me to actually invest time into Good inside, even though I really really wanted to. I'm so happy about this app 😍

This program and app are life-changing. It's very customizable, you can set daily reminders which are awesome. You don't need to carve out an hour everyday to learn to be a better parent. This app helps you, in 5 minutes increments daily. And it sets you a reminders!!!

I am a soccer coach from ages 6-11 and i heard this ladys podcast. I never considered changing the way i communicate with my players until i listened to her. I watched several of her podcasts and was convinced to purchase the app. Just going through the first lesson provides me with a new perpsective to take when dealing with kids. I used to yell at my players when i wanted something done correctly but i will change. I am also very impressed with the careful planning in the execution of the app

Good inside app has been amazing to get easy access to the workshops as well as daily cards and a good inside community. However sometime the app can be glitchy which might cause you to lose your spot in the videos.

Good content but video and audio will not play unless my phone screen is actively displaying it so you can't listen with the screen locked

Mom of 2-under-2 with a newborn at home and no "village". I have followed Dr Becky on IG for quite some time and recently bought her book (high aspirations to think I'd have time to read!). I feel like the Good Inside app gets me what I need in the content form and frequency I can handle (mentally and physically). Price felt a tad high, but in the grand scheme of things - worth every penny. I finally feel supported i n my parenting journey in trying to break some serious generational trauma.

This app is a game changer! I am learning to connect with my extremely emotional tween daughter and teaching her ways to cope with her emotions when she feels they are taking over her body. I love the daily reminders which keep all the tools I am learning at the forefront. I HIGHLY recommend this app to ALL parents! Dr. Becky and her team are the real deal!

I love this new app. It brings together the community chats and the website content in one place. I love the idea of personalized card decks. I selected the deeply feeling kid deck because my kiddo is a DFK. The deck gives me a little reminder and confidence boost everyday. But the thing is I can switch decks or dabble in other content for additional resources. Thank you Dr. Becky and Good Inside for making this accessible and fun.

It's so expensive! $35ish a month, and minimum $115 subscription just to sign up? 14 day money back guarantee doesn't compensate because who knows if you'll remember or how easy it is if you do. Sheesh, even half price would be way too expensive.

I like the app. It's easy to navigate and has some great features. However, when I'm watching a video, it allows for my screen to time out and shut off. Hoping this will be fixed in an update.
