Life Changing Advice!

I love Dr. Becky and everything she says. However, this app is killing me. I hate that the “cards” are so in your face, and I hate that the most recent workshops I have taken are not anywhere to be found, and it also doesn’t save my place! This feels like a huge step down from the website, which did both of these things. I also hate that when I click on a video in one of the emails, it sends me to download the app which I’ve already done, and then when it opens the app, it does not take me to the video in question.

I love the content, but the interface needs some work

The Best Parenting App Ever!!!!!

I’m only three days in and I absolutely love this resource. I finally feel like someone understands what I’m going through and the behaviors I’m seeing in my child. I’ve never felt so relieved to have answers and strategies that I can put into practice right now. I’m able to not only search through all the resources but I have access to the chat option and to receive really good advice. It literally brings me to tears when I open up this app and feel seen!

If you have ever “Duo Lingo-ed,” you know how valuable daily practice can be. The Good Inside app gives me daily insights PLUS the AI chatbot I used last night when it was time for my 5th grader to get ready for bed, but she hadn’t finished her homework (she REALLY wanted to). I love this app!

Impressive interface

Guys, this is the best addition I have made to my parenting with the least effort. As I already had the membership, now I have the little check-ins and reminders I can set that help me to keep all the good stuff in the forefront of my mind. I am grateful beyond words for what I’ve learned and am learning from Dr Becky, specifically to help my deeply feeling kids!

I should be able to pick up where I left off, right?   It should not be so confusing to navigate.  I’m in a hurry.

Confusing so far

Major sticker shock when I saw the price of ~$30/mo. Can I afford that? Probably. Can you girl math it to justify the cost? Maybe. But regardless it really rubs me the wrong way. In a digital ecosystem where additional customers have negligible marginal costs, you can price low and help a large number of people or you can price high and only help the rich or truly desperate. I guess the latter are the only ones that deserve parenting help…

Sticker Shock

They say if you message them in 14 days you can get your money back. I did but I didn’t get a response from them until after 14 days when they said I had to reach out to Apple. It is now beyond 14 days and no one will help me get my money back. Do not purchase.

Love the daily decks and reminders to get me in the right mindset daily and connect with my kid. When I have trouble I always search the library in the app first and often there is a great solution!

I read the book too but the app helps you remember what you learned from the book and keep using the the techniques long after.

More self-help books should have apps like this! What good is a book if you forget the teachings?

Seems geared towards small children

Dr. Becky and the Good Inside concepts and tools are saving my relationship with my kids!! I have been slowly losing my 8yo deeply feeling kid over the that few years. I’ve tried what I thought was everything until I started listening to the Good Inside podcasts. Things reached a major peak in the last few weeks and I decided to sign up in the app. It has been the best decision I ever made! I am already seeing changes for the better!! I love the content from Dr Becky and so appreciate all that she provides. I’m just frustrated with the app because on several occasions now the app won’t open. It just gets stuck on the Good Inside yellow page but never completely loads. I’ve restarted my phone, closed the app and tried to open it again so many times.

Update: 9/27 the support team advised me to delete the app and reload it to my phone and that seemed to fix my problem.  I appreciate the fast response from app support and developers.

So good

I was really looking forward to the app reminders that can be established for little mantra reminders to help you stay focused during the week. The alarm setting does not seem to be available within the app (the phone screen does not show the Submit/Go button to actually set the alarm time of when you prefer to see the reminders).

Great content, but unable to set alarms within App for reminders.

I keep waiting to be able to use the app, but it hasn’t worked for me in over a week and I’ve updated my phone to double check. Hope they fix it soon!

App not working

Doctor Becky elaborates and deconstructs topics to the point that we can help out little ones, the best joy in life are our children and best help we have to overcome any obstacle and many other things, you name it. I started reading her book Good inside and this was a level up to expand that knowledge, fantastic work!! Still in progress and so far amazing.

Parenting whisperer advice !

I get so many actionable strategies by doing the daily card deck! I feel like I’m learning skills that will stick with me because I can take in a little bit at a time, which makes it easier for me to remember what I’ learning. And the AI chat function has really saved me in some tough parenting moments.

This app is exactly what I needed to help myself parent the way I want to. It’s so easy to use. There’s a huge variety of topics, scripts, workshops, community chats, etc. I was considering cancelling my “Good Inside” membership because I wasn’t getting on the website enough to justify the costs, but since this app was created, it’s been well worth the money! I love that you can set up daily reminders & bookmark your favorite scripts. There’s also an AI chatbot if you need an immediate answer to a question. This has helped me tremendously when I start to get triggered during difficult parenting moments. I tend to freeze up & forget what to say or do in the moment, but lately I use the chatbot & it gives me simple steps to follow. It always helps!

I’ve been a member of the Good Inside community for six or eight months and just started using the app in the past two weeks. So far, I’m finding it so much easier to access the content and have been engaging with it a lot more.

Only wish I found this sooner

I’ll admit I was a little skeptical when downloading this app. I’m a Dr. Becky follower and am all-in on this mission, but the app felt like a short cut or not substantive enough to be helpful. Like so much of parenting, it’s a long game that takes consistent effort and time. However, recently, my son was melting down because of an unexpected and last minute change of plans and I felt out of practice and at a loss of what to do. In the moment, I just survived. But after, I opened the app and desperately typed into the chat bot: “What can I say to my DFK son in the moment to help him deal with unexpected change of plans?”  The response was validating, thoughtful, on point, and practical. It felt like I was on a live chat with Dr. Becky herself. I followed up asking for suggestions for skill building outside the moment and again, the app gave me several actionable ideas along with follow material and references. I was so pleasantly surprised and have returned for more. It is such a well implemented use of AI. The intention and thought behind this app is clear.

Surprised and delighted!

I’ve watched/read Dr. Becky for some years now, but because I limited my social media time, I wasn’t getting the Good Inside POV as often, or it would pop up algorithmically and not usually match my current needs (5.5 yr old and almost-3 yr old). Anyway, when I saw how expansive the app is, I decided to just go for the annual subscription: there are so many topics, some niche and therefore valuable when they fit our needs, and I love the breadth of content. The “poster”-like pages are so easy to digest, and then there are the articles and videos to flesh out topics and dive into. Knowing that kids grow and change and are unique, I don’t think I’ll regret paying for this kind of support.

Worth it already

I am blown away by this app! It offers so much in a very organized and accessible way. I feel like I have Dr. Becky in my pocket and the principles at my fingertips at any given moment. Thank you so much for developing this app!!

Effective, efficient, organized, spot on

Aside from the app’s interface being aesthetically pleasing, intuitive and user-friendly, Dr.Becky’s content is uncontested. Having the app is truly like having her in your back pocket. The personalized decks, the parental affirmation reminders, the guides and videos are phenomenal. Well worth the cost.

A Gem!

First let me say, I’m a Christian, home schooling mother of 4, who struggles with anxiety and overwhelm. I believe it’s critical to direct my children to Christ and God’s written word as their source of peace, wisdom, and comfort. This app is absolutely wonderful in helping me to manage my own anxiety, and giving me bite sized morsels of wisdom and direction, which I can put into immediate action - daily! - Even throughout the day! The tools stay fresh, and help to over ride my own actions propensities! I feel so empowered. It’s literally like Christmas for me and my children throughout the day! The best part??? My three oldest (because the littlest is 8 months), have given me incredible, unsolicited feedback in their words and actions. My 11 year old has gone out of her way to thank me numerous times, just for saying, “I believe you,” and, “That does feel like a tricky situation. Tell me more!” Game changer!!! I can’t thank you and your team enough. God has blessed you with an incredible gift! So thankful we found you!

Phenomenal

Haven’t been able to use it due to it not handling settings->display & brightness->display zoom->zoom.  I see this often when UAT does not test against this use case.  When footer overlays are used, the zoomed text is cut off at the bottom, often hiding critical navigation buttons and other information.  Please fix so I can try your app.

Most of us parents that are struggling know by heart to validate the child talking to him about trying to get to the “bottom” of the behavior but what do you do after yeah that and the child just screams at you back, or curses, spit and etc. it’s not like after saying all that you are getting this calm child that’s like, oh let try to figure this out … the man probably comes after you try to validate him and then he rolls their eye and say whatever ! And the circle begins.

So happy to finally have access to Dr. Becky in my pocket! I’ve been a member of Good Inside since it launched and have watched every single workshop, read all the posts, etc. and now love that I can quickly pop into the app to get help with a timely parenting issue. Incredibly practical, helpful and useful parenting advice

I love and love and love the material, but as a parent to two kids (and a baby) with very different issues and personalities, I need the option of toggling between them in a 24 hour period. What if on some days I need TWO decks of advice in one day? One for my neurodivergent DFK and one for my middle child syndrome kid who starts beating up her little bro because she’s feeling so insecure. Im in a rough spot with my middle kid suddenly, and so I’m just really wishing I could switch to my other child and it doesn’t seem to be an option.

It’s a five star potential but I need more toggle options!

Amazing app! I bought the book and didn't purchase the membership right away, but I'm so glad that I finally took a chance. I thought the GI app might take too much time, but it's set up perfectly to address the issues you want, when you want. Efficient and helpful!! I love that it not only helps us with our deeply feeling kid, but their siblings as well. The best part is that Dr. Becky's advice WORKS!

The app isn't working well on my Pixel. When I watch a video, my screen goes dark and locks and the video stops. Then when I unlock the screen it makes me start the entire workshop/video over. It makes it impossible to do more than a few minutes of work at a time without touching my screen to make sure it stays awake. Any tricks?

Oooft! I love the Instagram content and the questions at the app sign-up stage made the support the app provides sound perfect for me, so I was happy to provide my email address and details. But once I'd signed up I realised there's no content at all available without payment. And working out at £22 or £26 per month (needed in large bulk annual or quarterly payments of £265 or £80) just not possible right now. Reluctantly, uninstallling.

Good Inside is so much more than a parenting app! It is like having a positive expert at your fingertips. I have seen the results of Dr. Becky's approach in a short time with my preteen. Not only is Dr. Becky's perspective, examples and workshops life enhancing, the tech team created easy to navigate content. The Ask feature is my go to in the moment and is like having a best friend on speed dial. I have recommended Good Inside to all my close friends and wish all parents had this resource.

The app is not working on the latest Android OS.

I have recently changed mobile phone device and ilthe app doesnt open on the new one. Samsung Z Flip 6

Downloading the app is free, but there is a membership to pay to use the app. At nearly £300 a year for membership, this is way beyond my budget and completely inaccessible to me. It was such a waste of time answering all those sign up quiz questions only to find this too. If there was a free trial, I'd try it, but I can't comment on the content on the app as I didn't manage to go past the bit about paying. I like the content on insta, though. So for these reasons I've given 2 stars.

I've been a Good Inside member for a while, but this has changed my game! The daily reminders make it easier to check out the content for me personally. There are daily flash cards based on age and topics you choose that really resonate. Then, if you're stuck in the depths of potty training like we are, or whatever else you need to look up after bedtime. It's all there!

I wish I could know these points a few months ago.

When I signed up the app wasn't available. The information has been so valuable that I downloaded the app and do find it very easy to get reminders and read smaller Snippets of information that continue to support me . And stay up-to-date with anything that could be new material coming out. I have teenage and adult children and information related to older children is very helpful.

I want you to know how beneficial the membership has been for me. I felt like I was drowning with 4 kids, 2 step kids and a blended fam. I finally feel in control and when I don't feel in control, I have somewhere to turn that is both helpful and uplifting. I wish I had this support from day 1 of parenting. If I had, I think my entire parenting experience would have been different. I will be a member until my kids have grown (and maybe longer lol)

So much better and more easily accessible than the web version. The app makes it easy to focus on your main topic and to access it immediately. Only used it for 1.5 days, but I love it so far! The web version made it hard for me to actually invest time into Good inside, even though I really really wanted to. I'm so happy about this app 😍

This program and app are life-changing. It's very customizable, you can set daily reminders which are awesome. You don't need to carve out an hour everyday to learn to be a better parent. This app helps you, in 5 minutes increments daily. And it sets you a reminders!!!

I am a soccer coach from ages 6-11 and i heard this ladys podcast. I never considered changing the way i communicate with my players until i listened to her. I watched several of her podcasts and was convinced to purchase the app. Just going through the first lesson provides me with a new perpsective to take when dealing with kids. I used to yell at my players when i wanted something done correctly but i will change. I am also very impressed with the careful planning in the execution of the app

Good inside app has been amazing to get easy access to the workshops as well as daily cards and a good inside community. However sometime the app can be glitchy which might cause you to lose your spot in the videos.

Mom of 2-under-2 with a newborn at home and no "village". I have followed Dr Becky on IG for quite some time and recently bought her book (high aspirations to think I'd have time to read!). I feel like the Good Inside app gets me what I need in the content form and frequency I can handle (mentally and physically). Price felt a tad high, but in the grand scheme of things - worth every penny. I finally feel supported i n my parenting journey in trying to break some serious generational trauma.

I love this new app. It brings together the community chats and the website content in one place. I love the idea of personalized card decks. I selected the deeply feeling kid deck because my kiddo is a DFK. The deck gives me a little reminder and confidence boost everyday. It's so expensive! $35ish a month, and minimum $115 subscription just to sign up? 14 day money back guarantee doesn't compensate because who knows if you'll remember or how easy it is if you do. Sheesh, even half price would be way too expensive.

I like the app. It's easy to navigate and has some great features. However, when I'm watching a video, it allows for my screen to time out and shut off. Hoping this will be fixed in an update.

I'm not sure if I like this app yet. GI content is so amazing, but the App may need a little work. I can only apply topics to one child. Also, I'm not receiving daily reminders.

If you are committed to improving your relationship with your kids you need to improve your relationship with yourself. We have learned so much about ourselves and how to manage our feelings. This ultimately has led us to be better equipped to handle our kids' emotions, feelings, and behaviors. This community has been so impactful and having the app makes it even easier to grow. We have good kids and we are good parents. If you want help Good Inside is where you need to invest.

I haven't used all the features on here yet but so far my experience with the app has been great!

I've had the GI membership for almost a year and so far this app takes the membership to the next level. I originally thought I would cancel the membership after 3 months but my little ones keep changing so there is always more to come back for. I scheduled the app notification to come in at bedtime and it's reminder that goes off just when I need it. Thanks to the GI team for this app and if you're on the fence, never a better time then right now to join!

Instantly helpful with avoiding daily issues with my children and preparing for the next steps e.g. going to school for the first time, sleeping through the night. I cannot recommend this app enough, it really is amazing for parents to feel we're not alone in the sometimes challenging aspects of parenting.

I love the app and how easy it makes it for me to educated myself and get ready to tackle parenting problems. The app asks about your most pressing parenting issue and then prepares for you few prompts and series of short videos addressing the issue. I love that I can spend only 5 or 10min a day on the problem and get valuable information how to handle it. And every day you get a reminder to look through new prompts on the topic - one less item from my mental load list!

This app is designed in such a handy and creative way that I fell in love with it immediately after my first use! Can't wait for the next updates and progress which I believe will have a huge impact on my parental journey and mindset.

Loving how easily accessible great parenting insights, techniques, and support are in the app. Great for time-strapped parents who need quick scripts on specific issues you and your kids are working on, validation that parenting is hard, and a better place to go for answers than a search engine.

So excited to have a resource like this in my back pocket, literally. It makes it easy to find articles/ videos on topics I need and I love the daily deck feature. I've yet to use the Ask Chatbot feature but I'm hoping it will be helpful during my next struggle.

This app is just wonderful. I love Dr Becky's online content but was unsure what the app could add to that experience. But once I started using it I was so impressed! It's intuitive, easy to use, provides great condensed guidance and techniques as well as access to the full scripts/videos at the click of a button. I've been using it daily and feel myself enacting the strategies and ideas much more so than when I was only using the online resources as it's right there at my fingertips! Great job!

This app has changed my life with my kids. I have a 3 y.o who's struggling with so many things in his little life. Parenting is hard and there is no manual but this app gives me real practical steps to carry out, motivation and encouragement and has a ton of content for all situations. So grateful that I have it!

The app makes accessing content so easy! I'm loving the daily deck to give you key ideas on your focus area, as well as the ability to easily set reminders of important messages you want for yourself. The only glitch I found was that anything I saved in my web library (including the workshop I was in middle of going through) did not transfer to my app library.

I'm so happy Dr Becky added an app. I've loved the website but it was hard to navigate on my phone. The app has been excellent so far. Very easy to use and find exactly what you're looking for.

So much reparenting advice in order to be a better parent and continue to grow as a person and sturdy leader. All the content, workshops, scripts, text reminders, and community support of people in the same situations hav been insanely valuable and healing for my soul. I've even applied strategies that work with my spouse and family. Do not skip over this APP!
